What a fabulous night! On Friday 29 November we gathered to celebrate a wonderful year of theatre, outstanding creative achievements and the people who made them possible.
President's Award - Fiona Williams
The President's Award is given to someone who is not on our Committee but works behind the scenes in a variety of ways to advance our theatre.
Fiona first came to Beaumaris Theatre as the result of a neighbourhood party we organised and Cheryl Threadgold asked Fiona to be the Stage Manager for Dimboola. Cheryl obviously recognised the wonderfully organised and pragmatic qualities of Fiona. She must have made a good first impression!
Over the past ten years, she has stage managed or worked as part of backstage crews on 13 productions and has appeared on stage in 5 productions. Fiona is one of our wonderful volunteers who steps in and contributes whenever she is asked and volunteers when she is not. She helps out at our set builds, front of house and sometimes (because she lives close) takes out or bring in our bins.
Seminar Awards
Presented to Alicia Patzer - Special award for the consistent and expert eating of ice cream and cookie dough during a 3-week run.
Presented to the Cast, Crew & Creative Team of Seminar - Special Recognition for the slick and well-rehearsed scene change in Act Two incorporating set design pieces and the entire cast. With a special mention to the flourish of the paper tossing as the full stop!

Thank you to everyone who attended our very special 16th Annual Talbots~ Reimagined this year in celebration of a wonderful theatrical year. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on Seminar, Company, Pillow Talk and Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story and all that we love about Beaumaris Theatre.
Many people contributed to making this such a spectacular evening!
Thank you to our adjudicators this year, Trish Angliss, David Krause and Stephen Shinkfield who thought outside the box to present some well-considered awards to each of our four productions.
We were fortunate to have a fabulous Talbot Band at this year’s Talbots Sue, Keith and Bill who under the expert guidance of our lovely MD, Rhonda Vaughan offered terrific musical backing to our exceptional entertainers, Amelia Joughin, Amy Gridley, JP Royce, Omar Moustafa, Katrina Pezzimenti, Stuart Anderson, Nick Armstrong, Nic Russ, Joshua Aiello, Dan Bellis and Rebecca Simpson. We all enjoyed watching and hearing you perform delightful show tunes and popular musical numbers showcasing your vocal prowess and bringing a touch of class to our event (check out our Instagram Stories highlights for a glimpse into these incredible performances!)
It was fabulous to hear each of our directors reflect on their four excellent shows and highlight and acknowledge all the immense work that goes into taking each production from page to stage from the huge teams both onstage and behind the scenes. Special thanks to Kirsten Page, Colin Armstrong, Andy Payne and Debbie Keyt for all their passion and devotion, not just on the night but throughout the year.
Thank you to our four presenters Kristina Doucouliagos, Camilla Klesman (who also designed our beautiful invites!), Chris Hunter and Justin Keyt, photographer Lan Tran and Fred Pezzimenti for looking, after all, our audiovisual needs.
Thank you to the Talbot Subcommittee Lynda French, Amelia Joughin, Chris Hunter and Kristina Doucouliagos who have spent many months planning and coordinating this evening under the expert guidance of Debbie Keyt who yet again ensured that this night was a huge success and true celebration of theatre.
Beaumaris Theatre prides ourselves on producing theatre of extraordinary standards, none of which would be possible without our 2019 creative teams, casts and crews and our entire Beaumaris Theatre family. We can’t thank you enough for your devotion and commitment to your craft and giving our audiences four magical theatrical offerings which were each triumphant in their own unique way and we made them laugh, cry, applaud and ultimately uplift and entertain them and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our 2019 theatre season and our Talbots Re-Imagined.
