Introducing the fabulous cast of They Came From Mars & Landed Outside the Farndale Ave Church

 Georgy Charles-Sipcic - Mrs. Reece

We are thrilled that Georgy is once again treading the boards at Beaumaris Theatre! You might recognise Georgy from her performances as the good vicar in 'The Vicar of Dibley' and one of the ‘clowns’ in 'The 39 Steps'. Most recently, Georgy was in Frankston Theatre Group Inc's production of 'Caravan'.

 Meredith Vaughan - Felicity

Whilst at school, Meredith was in productions of 'Hairspray', 'Guys and Dolls' and 'Bring It On!'. At Frankston Theatre Group, Meredith portrayed a moustachioed British Airman and a girl of the French Resistance in 'ALLO! ALLO!' in 2016. She stage-managed Frankston Theatre Group’s ACT II production of 'Gaslight' last year and was a joint winner of a VDL Adjudicator’s Award for her role as Millicent Bystander, one of the butler’s staff of four, who attended to the incoming audience in 2018. She is a proficient set-builder at both Beaumaris Theatre and Frankston Theatre Group.

Karen Shnider - Norah

Karen has been involved in theatre for many years and has enjoyed all aspects both on and off the stage.

Karen realized her love for music and theatre at a very early age and became involved as soon as she was of an age to do so. Historically, Karen has been involved with choirs, singing groups as well as Melbourne Theatre Company Youth Theatre and MTC workshops and the occasional " extra work" for a T.V series. Karen has also studied classical singing for a period of time.

Karen has also been involved with Nova, Babirra, Aspect, Peridot One-Act Plays, "Have you seen it productions" and MLOC Theatre Companies in various roles and ensembles.

Her most recent roles were the Milk Maid and ensemble in 'Oliver!', Ensemble in 'Boy from Oz' and Thelma O'Keefe in 'Shout'. Karen is also a member of the Cantate Singers.

Neil Barnett - Gordon

Neil has been around the amateur theatre scene for many years. In fact, his last role, Major Metcalf in The 1812 Theatre's production of 'The Mousetrap' is a play as old as himself 😉.

At Beaumaris Theatre, Neil played another Major in the three productions of 'Fawlty Towers' as well as Pirelli in 'Sweeney Todd' amongst many other roles in many other productions. Neil is also responsible for some truly outstanding sets and clever props!

Other favourite roles were both in productions of 'Noises Off'. He played Garry at Mordialloc Theatre Company and, more recently Sheldon the aged, drunk actor at Frankston Theatre Group Inc.

Annie Laurenson - Thelma

You will remember Annie from her powerful performance in 'Pillow Talk' last year.

For the past few years, Frankston Theatre Group has been Annie's home where she has been in productions of 'ALLO! ALLO!', 'Murdered to Death' and Our Man in Havanna', but has also spent many years performing on the Beaumaris Theatre in productions like 'The Maids', 'Not Now Darling', Once a Catholic' and several 'Farndale Avenue' productions. Indeed, she directed one for FTG in 2018. Having played Felicity in a previous Farndale productions at Beaumaris Theatre, Annie is now trying her hand at Thelma – the Queen of Divas. And in a truly Farndale twist, Meredith Vaughan (who is Annie’s daughter) is playing Mrs Allsop, Annie’s character’s mother! Don’t dwell on it; it’s terrifying.
