All good fairy tales come to a happy ending and our spectacular production of Jack & the Beanstalk ~ a Pantomime is no exception.
We had drama aplenty, intrigue, plot twists, perils, adventure, conflict and cliffhangers both onstage and off, but was our epic escapade rewarding, fulfilling and gratifying for all? The answer is a resounding ‘oh yes it was’!
Our remarkable, talented cast and clever, creative crew tackled adversity in their stride on numerous occasions only to thwart and usurp all obstacles, foes and evil that crossed their paths and with a little bit of magic and a huge amount of optimism and positivity and proved the old show biz adage ‘the show must go on’ with gusto and aplomb.
Our marvellous audiences, both young and young at heart applauded, cheered, booed, sang along, giggled and excitedly shouted out “oh no it’s not” or “its behind you” when prompted. Their unashamed joy was pure delight and the photo opportunities after the show was a huge highlight for the cast and audience alike and their exuberant feedback was a pleasure to receive and behold.
Our magnificent storybook set, vibrant colourful costumes, stunning and atmospheric lighting and melodic music all added to the enchantment of transporting us to the fantasy lands of Marisbeau & Cloudland for a jolly good time and pure escapism, imagination and make-believe.
The fee-fi-fo-fun may have come to an end but the precious memories will last forever….
